Looking to spend some quality time with your family?

Why not spend the weekend outdoor camping?

Not only is it a relaxing getaway from the hustle and bustle of life, but you can also bask in the surrounding nature and enjoy marshmallows by the firepit.

One of England’s most beautiful counties, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that Cambridgeshire has some of the best campsites for families.

What’s more, many are located near restaurants and pubs making it extremely convenient for you and your family to get a bite after a long day out in the sun.

Sure, throwing your own BBQ when you’re out camping is fun and all.

But, after pitching your tent and chasing your kids around the entire day, sometimes it’s easier to have someone else prepare your meal for you.

That’s why we’ve compiled a list of campsites near the best family-friendly restaurants and pubs in Cambridgeshire. Keep reading to find out more!

The Orchard at Fen End Farm

Small, peaceful and eco-friendly, The Orchard at the Fen End Farm is located near Cambridge and equipped with basic amenities and accommodation options. You can either choose to pitch your own tent in the grass or pick out a glamping option. While pitching your own tent sounds rewarding, it doesn’t hurt to try spending the night in a yurt or tipi. Not to mention, their bell tents are fully furnished and decked out with everything one needs during a camping trip. During the day, take a long walk down to the Orchard or to the Wicken National Nature Reserve for some exercise.

Spanning over 117 acres of farmland, The Orchard has more than enough space for everyone. For campers, there are four grass pitches available for you to pitch your tents. The Orchard also provides fire pits for anyone who is interested to roast some barbecue snacks and marshmallows in the evening. Unfortunately, do note that the premises do not permit dogs. For dining options, The Orchard is also situated near the Hop Bind pub that’s less than a five-minute drive away. There, guests will find wonderful local dishes that are bound to leave the whole family full and happy.
