Solo backpacking tents can often be on the small side with little room for anything other than your sleeping bag.

The Blackthorn 1XL is a solo tent that is a little larger, it is longer, wider and a little taller than some other tents and altogether more roomier which is great if you prefer to be able to stretch out a little, or of course if you are on the taller side.

The tent weighs in at just 1.85kg and can be packed down small; 40cm x 15cm x 13cm to be exact.

The fabric is PU coated and has a hydrostatic head of 2000mm, the seams are taped, and the poles are fibreglass, offering greater strength.

All of this means that in addition to a little more space you should also stay dry at night and your tent is less likely to collapse on you.

The guy lines are pre attached making it possible to pitch the tent in just 5 minutes.
